Dressing the Groom

As far as weddings go, women really get the better deal when it comes to fashion. A stunning ethereal dress you’ve dreamed about your whole life. The most expensive garment you’ll ever wear. Limitless options for jewelry, and exquisite pieces you will likely never have another chance to wear again, tiara anyone? Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. We at Betty Blue think you should remember your groom too!

Most often men are resigned to wearing a rent-a-tux and fake patent leather shoes. Sure, you can pick vest and tie to match your colors, but very little is unique to him, and very little is once in a lifetime attire. I am certainly not suggesting the groom should start to compete with his bride for the spotlight, but we need some new ways to allow him to share some of it.

While in Las Vegas with my dear friend and florist, Leah of Bespoke Custom Floral and Event Design for the Wedding MBA  we stopped by Stitched, a boutique providing exquisite hand tailored clothing for men. This is probably the most excited I’ve ever been about shopping for a man! Hand made silk ties! Leather, one of a kind, bow-ties! Bespoke footwear! Be still my heart! We even got a personal lesson in how to tie a bow-tie! Let yourself be inspired! There are limitless possibilities, ties, cuff links, socks, custom shoes, one of a kind suits and tuxedos will all ensure he looks almost as good as you do. Your groom deserves to make his mark on the big day too!
